The Challenge:
The Sapa project aimed to bring the essence of Asian street scenes to Salt Lake City through a Food Alley concept. Our task was to evoke the bustling energy and robust nightlife of an international food community within the architectural confines of the proposed space. The project was still in its early design phases, which meant we had the considerable challenge of accurately representing the vision for the space. The compact area and the abundance of windows required creative art direction to ensure the 3D Renderings were lively and engaging.
The Approach:
Our approach was to infuse the Food Alley 3D renderings with life, color, and movement, simulating the dynamic atmosphere of a night market. We leaned into the architectural challenge, using the tight space and numerous windows to illustrate scenes that felt authentic. Our goal was to create 3D visuals that showcased the space’s potential and conveyed the cultural richness and communal vibe that Food Alley aspired to offer Salt Lake City.
The Result:
The final 3D renderings for the Food Alley project were met with enthusiasm. They effectively captured the lively spirit and cultural mosaic that Sapa Investments envisioned. The portrayal of a spirited environment, bustling with people and illuminated by the warm glow of restaurant and shop fronts, offered a tantalizing glimpse into the future of the Food Alley, igniting excitement and anticipation for its realization.

Project Description
Inspired by the streets of Japan, Food Alley symbolizes a global community where locally-owned restaurants and shops bring international cuisine, culture, and experiences to Salt Lake City, UT. The architectural design and layout mirror what you would find in a narrow alleyway with vibrant restaurants and shops. With this project, most of the design details had yet to be defined. Thus, we collaborated with the client to inject creativity and fun into the project.
