Brent Bowen
CEO / Creative Director / Founder
- Emphasis: Business Development / 3D Creative Direction
- Experience: 22 years
Brent is responsible for the general direction of the company, day to day operations, client interaction, as well as coordinating with the illustrators and most importantly giving creative direction on projects.
Brainstorming with clients and staff to create images that inspire is at the core of what Brent does.
WHEN NOT AT WORK
Brent loves being outdoors, international travel, designing things, camping & hiking, studying science (especially physics & astronomy), tinkering with telescopes, and most recently improving his astro-photography skills.
Vic Hoffman
Senior 3D Illustrator / Project Manager
- Emphasis: Commercial / Project Management
- Experience: 14 years
Vic is responsible for creating renderings and animations images with an emphasis on architectural projects for developers. He also manages projects and helps with new work.
Vic has an AAS in architectural technology. He enjoys seeing ideas come to life and seeing people’s excitement in regards to the renderings our office creates.
WHEN NOT AT WORK
Vic enjoys the outdoors, watching motoGP, and keeping up with technology.
Matt Bodell
Senior 3D Illustrator / Project Manager
- Emphasis: Residential / Project Management
- Experience: 13 years
Matt’s main emphasis is residential projects and project management. As an illustrator/animator he works on all types of projects.
Doing architectural renderings and animations provides Matt a great opportunity to be creative and develop unique art. Matt has always enjoyed visual design, whether it’s cinematography, classic animation, logo design, sports uniforms or character and level design in a video game.
WHEN NOT AT WORK
Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, who always make life interesting!
Kiersten Larrabee
Senior 3D Illustrator
- Emphasis: Interiors
- Experience: 8 years
Kiersten Larrabee excels at creating interior renderings. She has the creative eye needed to do the virtual interior design of a space.
Enjoying both the arts and math, architecture has always seemed like the perfect match. Through SLCC, Kiersten discovered 3D modeling and rendering, which immediately became a love and obsession. It introduced her to a whole new field and she knew it was meant to be. Working at Bowen Studios, Kiersten loves to showcase her artistic side and continually learn how to better her work, whether it be with the new technology coming out or just finding new ways to face a challenge.
WHEN NOT AT WORK
Outside of the office, she enjoys exercising her DIY skills, gardening, baking, and planning her next Disney related vacation.
Rob Patterson
Senior 3D Illustrator / IT Manager
- Emphasis: R&D / 3D Terrain Creation / Post Production
- Experience: 7 years
Rob Patterson is responsible for keeping the hardware and software working smoothly. He’s also our R&D person always figuring out new ways of working and creating higher quality images and animations.
Rob has too many hobbies to count. Luckily, visual effects is one of them, and he enjoys doing that every day at his desk!
WHEN NOT AT WORK
Rob has a background in photography, computer science, and psychology. You can find him tinkering, taking things apart, and occasionally putting them back together.
Brandon Bowen
3D Illustrator
- Experience: 22 years
Brandon spent the last 22 years at a local Architecture firm as their sole Architectural Illustrator. He had many functions but primarily used 3D Max and Photoshop to help design commercial, office, landscape, and interior design projects. He’s excited to elevate his skills at a dedicated rendering firm. With tons to learn he’s excited to see how far he can go with 3d Max as his past office had limited uses for the 3D software.
WHEN NOT AT WORK
Brandon loves cars and camping. For most of his life he’s competitively raced Porsches and instructed racing. He’s a big Formula 1 fan. He also loves camping in is vintage VW Westfalia and cycling.
Margaret Byrne
Senior 3D Illustrator
- Experience: 15 years
After studying Media Arts and Animation in California, Margaret’s interest in 3D art for both architectural and the entertainment fields became a full-time passion. She has worked across both industries and enjoys the different challenges and opportunities to create vibrant worlds.
WHEN NOT AT WORK
Margaret enjoys being outside, going on walking, hiking and camping adventures. When not out exploring, she also enjoys playing video games and watching movies with her husband and cat.
Yelena Mroz
Senior 3D Illustrator
- Experience: 14 years
Yelena is an architectural visualization artist with 14 years of experience in the industry. She works on a diverse array of projects, ranging from residential and office spaces to large campaigns for mixed-used developments. She is passionate about bringing clients’ visions to life and infusing a creative touch into every projects.
Beyond her professional work, Yelena explores her creativity through photography, videography, and graphic design adding a unique perspective to her visualizations. She finds these creative outlets not only rewarding but also instrumental in enhancing her professional skills.

Youth development.
HOW WE GIVE BACK
Brent Bowen has served on the Board of Directors since in 2014. As Vice Chair Brent helped with the building of a new Media Arts Center – a $10M state of the art digital media center. He helped select the architects, the contractor, and helped with lots of details throughout the design and construction phases.
Bowen Studios services were donated to create renderings, a virtual tour and animations all to help raise the funds for the building. The building opened in the spring of 2020.
World development.
Brent has contributed since 2006 as a volunteer with roles including a rebranding of the organization in 2014 and as an Expedition Leader taking groups to work in rural villages in Nepal, Kenya, & Bolivia.
World development.
The Student Orphan Aid Program was founded by Dut Bihor, one of the Lost Boys of Sudan, to help his fellow orphans get an education. He has personally funded the education of a dozen students from the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya.
Brent has contributed since 2006 as a volunteer with roles including a rebranding of the organization in 2014 and as an Expedition Leader taking groups to work in rural villages in Nepal, Kenya, & Bolivia.
